The 2007 San Juan County Profile includes population, land area, population density, population by age and sex, assessed value, per capita personal income, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, population of cities and towns, population by race and hispanic origin, state collected revenues distributed to county governments, real estate excise tax collections, county revenue and expenditures, employment and wages by industry, persons served and amounts granted by public assistance programs, public school enrollment and fiscal information, and driver and vehicle registrations. A profile for the state as a whole is included in this section.

County and City Information includes a variety of sources dealing specifically with Population, the Economy, county government Finance, Criminal Justice, and Human Services.

The Economic and Revenue Forecast Council produces a quarterly state economic and revenue forecast including tables of economic activity for each county.

Washington County Travel Impacts
Dean Runyan Associates is contracted by the Washington State Office of Trade and Economic Development and Washington State Tourism to report on the economic impacts of travel to and through the state of Washington and each of its 39 counties over the time period 1991 to 2007. These findings show the level of travel spending by those traveling to and through the state and the impact this spending has on the economy in terms of earnings, employment, and tax revenue.

1992 Economic Census Results

1997 Economic Census Summary Statistics for San Juan County include the number of establishments; employment; payroll; and value of sales, receipts, revenue, or shipments for establishments with paid employees.
1997 Economic Census Nonemployer Statistics for San Juan County provides economic data by industry for businesses without paid employees that are subject to federal income tax.

1997 Economic Census: ZIP Code Statistics The statistics shown for these sectors include the number of establishments, sales or receipts, annual payroll, and number of employees, except for manufacturing, where only the number of establishments is shown. These totals are shown only at the sector (2-digit NAICS) level. Subsequent to 1997 economic data is available for counties and individual zip codes.

County Business Patterns is an annual series that provides subnational economic data by industry. The series is useful for studying the economic activity of small areas; analyzing economic changes over time; and as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases between economic censuses. Businesses use the data for analyzing market potential, measuring the effectiveness of sales and advertising programs, setting sales quotas, and developing budgets.
